The Bachelor of Technology (Aviation) is the perfect launchpad for an exciting career as a Pilot, Air Combat Officer, Maritime Aviation Warfare Officer or a Joint Battlefield Airspace Controller. A key focus of this program is the role of people in a technologically advanced and complex aviation system.  

Courses in aerodynamics and aviation systems incorporate problem-based learning informed by academic research and industrial practice. Electives and a final semester project will enable you to pursue your interests both within and outside the Technology (Aviation) discipline. 

Study Aviation at UNSW Canberra at ADFA

As a Bachelor of Technology (Aviation) student at UNSW Canberra, you will develop a deep understanding of the technological and human systems behind the safe and efficient operation of aircrafts.

In your first year of study you’ll build a solid foundation in science and engineering, sharing common core courses with other technology and engineering students. In your second and third years, you will explore the interface between technology, individuals and organisations in the aviation industry. 

With various electives to choose from you can pursue interests both within and beyond aviation. You’ll work on a final semester project, to build your problem-solving skills and apply your knowledge in engineering, technology and aviation.
