Poet, publisher, and editor Les Wicks was born in 1955, and studied at Macquarie University. In 1976 he founded Meuse Press with Bill Farrow, which was initially an occasional magazine. Wicks continued as the primary editor and curator of Meuse Press, delivering ground-breaking productions such as Antransit (bus poetry) in Sydney and Newcastle, and Heritage Light which included publishing a poem on the surface of the Parramatta River. Wicks has performed and run workshops across Australia, and published in numerous newspapers, anthologies, and magazines across multiple countries

Provenance

The first consignment of this collection was purchased in 1985, with the remaining four consignments donated under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme, the last in 1997
