Literary
The papers of Kevin Brophy comprise manuscript and typescript drafts of 1989 novel Visions, and 1982 novel Getting away with it. The papers also include poems and prose along with correspondence, miscellaneous papers, newspaper clippings, reviews, research materials, audiovisual material, and a thesis typescript
1973-1990
Poet, essayist, and novelist Kevin Brophy was born in Melbourne in 1949 and studied at the University of Melbourne. His poetry has been widely anthologised and he has reviewed regularly for Reading Time along with authoring books of poetry, fiction, and essays. As well as teaching in the creative writing program at the University of Melbourne, Brophy has published study guides on contemporary fiction and is co-founder and co-editor of the literary journal Going Down Swinging.
