Paul holds a PhD in theoretical physics and a BSc in applied mathematics and physics, both from the University of Melbourne. He has taught at four Australian universities and undertaken postdoctoral fellowships at UNAM in Mexico, INFN in Padova, Italy, and at Curtin University, WA . He has experience developing the mathematical skills of students from early high school to final year undergraduate levels, including mature-age, international, and indigenous students. His research investigates low-energy scattering processes of light nuclei.
